Unfortunately there's no serial support in putty, though it's not just 
for Windows these days (the source release builds on Linux, FreeBSD 
have /usr/ports/security/putty). Teraterm works pretty well for 
Windows, or there's always rbcomm to make use of an XT (probably 
doesn't even need 512k :-)
