folks,

I have an application for which getting access to the Fan Out pins
on the PC87366 would be a big win.  The pins are not exposed on
any J-X header, but Im hoping that theyre accessible via a Test Point
or similar.

While Im loathe to attempt soldering onto the pins themselves, Im
prepared to do somewhat less delicate surgery on my board.


Separately, Ive got some rough code which extends linux-2.4.26's
drivers/char/scx200.c to also control the GPIO on the PC-87366. 
As you may know, the pin architecture is ~identical, but access to
the pin-config regs is different.

The code works as such, but is far from ready for submission to lkml.
Id be happy to share it with interested parties, or to the list in general
(if I get the sense that its not seen as email noise).

FWIW, Ive written a perl prog that reads the pin (sysread), approx 32k/sec.
I havent yet tried the same from C, so the question is premature,
but does this sound like a sane result ?
