[Soekris] linux 2.4.27 watchdog

All I can say is that we are in the same situation.

Maybe the free/open/net-bsd people can tell if their WDT is working and we could patch it up?

Does anyone use the sc520 watchdog driver that comes with linux 2.4.27?
I am trying to test it and it seems to work all except the 
ever-important rebooting function:

driver messages:

sc520_wdt: CBAR: 0x800fc000
sc520_wdt: MMCR Aliasing enabled.
sc520_wdt: WDT driver for SC520 initialised.

trying to test:

Dec 18 23:48:48 (none) kernel: sc520_wdt: Watchdog timer is now enabled.
Dec 18 23:49:18 (none) kernel: sc520_wdt: Heartbeat lost! Will not ping 
the watchdog

But it doesn't reboot.
Any ideas?
