  Ok, I see :).  I've read over the PR, and there is an ssh example
there.  And supposedly the problem is in FreeBSD too (at least per the
PR).

  What kind of application are you using that exhibits this lockup? 
I've just received my first vpn1411 card and net4801.  I plan to test
it with OpenVPN, which is also user mode (openssl based).

  Aren't there a lot of people on this list using vpn cards?  Or is
everyone mostly using IPSec (which is kernel-mode), and everything
works fine?
