Sorry, but the 4801 is not powerful enough for this... You can get a fair 40 
mbit/s performance out of it doing some basic firewalling, but it's nowhere 
close to what you're looking for... You'll have to look for other SBC:s (or 
for example a Via Epia solution, which is powerful enough) or maybe wait for 
the net7501/5801, but no word on when they're coming out...

I have a 4801 with a VPN accelerator that I would like to do Layer 2 
bridging with.  I need to do very high speed VPN's with the boxes so if 
Layer 2 bridging is not the way to do it then I am VERY open to suggestions.

I have installed OpenBSD and have it working in bridge mode fine WITHOUT 
ipsec on the bridge for security.  The issue is that I can only get about 15 
MB/s second through the box and I need it to work closer to 80 to 100mbs.


Anyone have any suggestions?  Any other way to go this ie, SSL VPN, IPSEC 
Routed VPN?
