Ok so things are becoming pretty technical, pretty fast, but i'm trying to hang
in there.
So from what i can gather is.
*The serial is RS-232c compliant, but still may be to low to power the lcd.
*It would be a good idea to use the internal serial port for the lcd so that i
don't block the serial console port.(would also keep wiring inside the case and
be more elegant)
*There is a way to power the serial port using the dc power cord for the board
before it enters the board(would need some details on that)
So i guess the overall answer to, would the lcd work with the board, is yes, but
i might need to steal power from somewhere else.
That leads me to a few more questions.
if i were to steal power from the power cord and power the serial port, how
would i do that, or is there another place i can get power from to power the
serial port?
and depending on the answer to that would it be enough power to supply the back
light? which uses the 5v floppy disk connector?
Thanks for all the help/advice/education
Dan
