Hi Clif,
I just had a round with the Lexar 256mb cards. With mine, the 64mb worked
great, but always showed up as slave. Other than that it worked. I got a
good deal on a 256mb Lexar, but trying to copy data from a hard drive (I was
using a Net4801), would always lock the system up. The 256mb also had the
problem of showing up as slave. With OpenBSD, this isn't an issue, but if
you use m0n0BSD or m0n0wall then you will have issues as FreeBSD seems to
number the devices according to the master/slave setting. OpenBSD (possibly
others) uses the first drive (whether it is master/slave doesn't *seem* to
matter). My advice would be to grab a SanDisk or Simpletech. I have also
had good luck with a couple of Fujitsu flash cards.

HTH,
Jess
