Check out this neato POE calculator (found off the www.nycwireless.org/poe
site). You can determine the exact voltage needed based on wire gauge,
length, input volts/amps, etc.

Subject: [Soekris] net 4521 power supply

Hello all,

My apologies if this is answered somewhere obvious.

I am looking for a power supply for my newly arrived net4521. However,
I have not seen the polarity of the input mentioned. Is it positive or
negative outside?

I have read that those of you using POE use 48 V, would a simple 12 Volt
output wall-wart with up to 800 mA like you can get at Radio Shack be
inadequate for the board plus one pcmia wifi card ?

Thanks in advance,
