[Soekris] OT: GRE tunnel on OpenBSD

Sorry for the OT but I'm going mad on this, please help.

I have two OpenBSD 3.2 boxes:

box 1 interfaces:

sis0 192.168.1.1/24
sis1: xxx.xxx.xxx.45

box 2 interfaces:
rl0: xxx.xxx.xxx.8
rl1: 192.168.2.1/24

I wish to create a GRE tunnel between those two boxes, mainly for test
uses.

on box1 i do

ifconfig gre0 192.168.1.1 192.168.2.1 netmask 0xffffffff link0 up
ifconfig gre0 tunnel xxx.xxx.xxx.45 xxx.xxx.xxx.8
route add 192.168.2.0/24 192.168.2.1

on box2 I do

ifconfig gre0 192.168.2.1 192.168.1.1 netmask 0xffffffff link0 up
ifconfig gre0 tunnel xxx.xxx.xxx.8 xxx.xxx.xxx.45
route add 192.168.1.0/24 192.168.1.1

It worked once, then I rebooted machines to do another test and it did
not work any more.

Using tcpdump I can see packets goin out on gre0 and (sometimes) coming
in on "outside" interface of the other box, but basically it does not
work.

What I'm missing? What I've done wrong?

TIA
Andrea
