I am having a problem getting a cisco 350 wireless card to work with
linux on the 4511. I have prism2 cards working great, but I cannot get
the 350 cards to associate to my AP. I have tried the stock airo/airo_cs
with 2.4.19, downloading the new 1.7 airo/airo_cs from sourceforge, and
even the ones from Cisco's site, all the same result.
The driver loads just fine, and initializes eth2. I can iwconfig and
change settings on eth2 just fine, but it never associates with my AP.
Invalid Misc and Rx Invalid nwid just keep incrementing.
/proc/driver/aironet/eth2/Status shows Mode: 20f, which is a mode I
never saw before. Usually its 'f' while looking for an AP, and 3f after
associated. If I pull out my 350 card and put in my saneo card using the
HostAP driver, it associates just fine.
I can slap the 350 card in my laptop running all the same versions of
software, including the same kernel, just for a different CPU, and the
card works just fine.
Has anyone gotten the cisco 350 cards to work with linux on the 4511?
And just to make sure, I tried 3 different 350 cards in 2 different 4511
baords, and even my 4521. Same thing.
