Can somebody just elaborate the main differences between the D-Link DWL-520
series products.
I have found the DWL-520 (presumably this is supported by *BSD via the wi
drivers as it appears to be a standard Prism2.5 chipset). For clarification
I mean this device: http://www.dlink.co.uk/long_desc.asp?id=334
Then there is the DWL-520+ (this seems to have a higher/newer spec at 22mbit
that I assume is the one that Brian says is not supported by *BSD), for
clarification I mean this device:
http://www.dlink.co.uk/long_desc.asp?id=359
As these are both 3.3v PCI 2.2 cards I guess that they will work in a
NET4501.
I have more or less given up trying to get an Orinnoco to do what I want, so
this looks like the best bet. Are there any other options? It would be
really cool if somebody would try and generate a definitive list of WLAN,
USB, etc, etc cards that have the right specs and are know to work. In fact
I will volunteer to do that.
Cheers
Peter
