[Soekris] Cannot boot 4501 from CF

You probably need to tell the kernel to use the serial port as a console.
at the boot> prompt, try this:

set tty com0
stty com0 19200

You can configure the OpenBSD kernel without wscons and with serial console
support, check out Henric's page at http://home.attbi.com/~henric/
