[Soekris] Cannot boot 4501 from CF

I have installed OpenBSD 3.1 on a Lexar 128 MB CF. I did this by using
an IDE CF adapter installed as a Primary Master on a PC. I booted the
PC from the floppy (with the PC's hard drive disconnected) and installed
OpenBSD normally. After the install is finished I can successfully boot
the PC from the CF card. However, when I put the card in the 4501, it
doesn't work. It gets to the OpenBSD boot> prompt, then prints a few
lines and stops. Here is what it says:
Booting hd0a:/bsd: 3887104+335872+823752+[141972+178084]=0x61e408
start=0xe0100020
Entry point at 0x100020
There is sits, and it doesn't boot the kernel. It can see the
filesystem; I can type ls at the boot> prompt and I can see everything
that should be there.
What's wrong and how can I fix it?
Thanks,
Jeff
