[Soekris] dead 4501?

After bringing my 4501 out of retirement (emBSD never worked right for me) and getting it going w/ the Bering LEAF Distro, it seems to have kicked the bucket on me.

Most of the time, when I plug it in, I get nothing on console. Every 6th or 7th time, I might get snippets of the boot process. On the rare occasion it gets all the way though booting the linux image, and gives me a prompt, I can't enter anything.

As usual, the Power and Error lights are on at boot, and the Error light shuts off a few seconds after being powered up..

Has anyone seen anything like this before?
