Hi,
I'm looking at building and programming up a engine management ES, and a
friend of mine said it should have a look at one of your units (he's bought
quite a few and is very happy with them).
Most people who build up such systems typically use a PICS system with
analog connectivity (like those from http://www.microchip.com/). I'm quite
keen on the idea of running the system on a cut down version of FreeBSD, but
that's the problem of connecting it to the analog side of things.
Generally analog connectivity is; for the analog inputs 0-5V maps to 0-1024
binary, and conversely on the output side of things the reverse, to trigger
relays, etc.
Do you think one of your units would be suitable? and any ideas on adding
analog connectivity to the unit? Also, there would be some vibration (since
it would be installed in a vehicle used for AutoX/Rally racing) how durable
are these things in that respect?
Thanks for your help,
Matt.
